Every individual has a "smart" and the innate ability to learn, yet as individuals, our brains learn and process information in different ways. Thus, utilizing a variety of teaching techniques and modalities, and catering instruction to take into consideration individual learning styles, needs, and challenges, while building upon individual strengths, interests, and temperament often leads to greater student performance and academic success.
In addition to one-on-one instruction, tutoring sessions may incorporate the use of different "tools for success" as many research studies have documented their success at elevating test scores and increasing overall student well-being. A person's own point of view about themselves and their ability to learn, has a direct mental and emotional impact on their motivation, their performance, and their expected level of success (or lack of it). Therefore, emphasis is given to the mental, and emotional aspects of student achievement and a range of strategies, techniques, and tools (such as guided visualization, stress reduction techniques, physical modalities of yoga, Tai-Chi, etc.) may be incorporated, upon request.

Private & Small Group classes include instruction on middle-eastern dance technique, use of instruments, and incorporate cultural music and sound as modalities to increase body awareness and encourage individual interpretive movement & dance. Dances are not choreographed, thus allowing yourself to move from your own body, rather than your mind, transcending you from being the dancer to becoming the dance itself!
